The E-Journal of Science and Emerging Technologies (EJSET) follows an open-access publishing model that supports the wide dissemination and responsible reuse of scholarly research while protecting the rights of authors.
Copyright Ownership
Authors publishing in EJSET retain full copyright of their work. Submission and publication in the journal do not transfer copyright ownership to the publisher.
By submitting and publishing a manuscript, authors grant EJSET a non-exclusive licence to publish, reproduce, distribute, archive, and display the work in all formats (online and print) for academic, educational, and scholarly purposes.
Creative Commons Licence
Unless otherwise stated, all articles published in EJSET are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution Licence (CC BY).
Under this licence:
- Readers may share, copy, redistribute, adapt, and build upon the published work
- Use is permitted for academic, educational, and research purposes
- Proper credit must be given to the original author(s) and the journal
- A link to the licence must be provided
- Any modifications to the original work must be clearly indicated
Author Rights
Authors are permitted to:
- Deposit the published version of their article in institutional or subject repositories
- Share their work on personal websites, academic platforms, or social media
- Use the published content for teaching, conference presentations, and future research
No prior permission from the journal is required for these uses, provided appropriate citation is maintained.
User Responsibilities
Users of EJSET content must:
- Cite the original author(s) and source correctly
- Not misrepresent the author’s work
- Not use the content in a misleading, unethical, or unlawful manner
Third-Party Content
If an article contains third-party copyrighted material, authors are responsible for obtaining appropriate permissions and clearly acknowledging such material. The Creative Commons licence does not apply to content for which the author does not hold rights.
Licence Modifications
Any variation from the default licensing terms must be approved by the editorial office prior to publication and will be clearly indicated in the published article.
Policy Updates
EJSET reserves the right to update these copyright and licensing terms in accordance with evolving legal, ethical, and open-access publishing standards. Updates will be published on the journal’s official website.
