Abstract

Agile project management (APM) has emerged as a transformative approach in managing IT implementations across various sectors, particularly in human resource (HR) technology solutions. In the context of Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) Cloud implementations, APM has proven to be an effective methodology for accelerating digital transformation within HR departments. Oracle HCM Cloud offers a suite of HR applications designed to streamline HR processes and enhance organizational efficiency. However, the complexity and scale of implementing Oracle HCM solutions require a flexible, adaptive, and iterative approach. Agile Project Management, with its focus on iterative development, crossfunctional collaboration, and adaptability to change, provides a roadmap for organizations to manage and implement these solutions more effectively.  Date of Publication: 07-06-2026 This paper explores the integration of Agile methodologies in Oracle HCM Cloud implementations. Through a case study of an organization that adopted Agile practices for its Oracle HCM Cloud implementation, the paper outlines the benefits and challenges of using Agile in this specific context, offering valuable insights for future implementations.
